Avoid confusion about the latest design version

Always know which design version is current

Version confusion is a common problem in graphic design projects. After a few correction rounds, several files exist and not everyone necessarily has the same version in front of them. A client may open an old email attachment while you have already moved two versions ahead. With Prooover, the different versions remain connected to the same design and the current version is presented from one central review environment.

Stop relying on confusing filenames

Filenames such as version-3, version-3-new, final and final-final only solve part of the problem. Once files are forwarded or saved locally, uncertainty can still arise. In Prooover, an updated design is added as a new version of the existing design. The version sequence is therefore part of the system itself, so you do not have to rely solely on filenames to determine which version is the latest.

Let clients review from the same environment

When clients return to the same review environment for each correction round, they do not have to search for another attachment every time. The updated version is available alongside the design they previously reviewed. This reduces the chance of an outdated version being reviewed again while keeping the context of earlier versions and correction rounds available.

Make sure the correct design is approved

Version control becomes particularly important when a design is approaching approval. You want to know not only that your client approved the design, but also which version received that approval. By keeping different versions connected to the same design and having the current version reviewed again, you create a clear route towards approval of the correct version.

Always keep the correct design version in view

Keep the complete version sequence organised and prevent feedback or approval from being attached to an outdated design.

  • No separate design versions scattered across emails
  • Connect new versions to existing designs
  • Keep the version sequence organised
  • Keep previous versions available
  • Present the current version centrally
  • Prevent old versions from being reviewed again
  • Get the correct version approved
